
Mr. Md. Abdul Quader, born in 1961 in Hazra Hati, Mirpur Upazila, Kushtia, is a distinguished leader in the development sector with over 45 years of dedicated service. Holding an MBA in Management from Islami University, he has been deeply involved in socio-cultural initiatives from a young age. His visionary leadership led to the establishment of SETU, a Non-Governmental Organization, in 1983, which has since grown into one of the country’s most impactful organizations, directly benefiting over 200,000 families. Under his guidance as Executive Director, SETU employs more than 800 professionals and plays a crucial role in various national and international NGO alliances, influencing policies and frameworks. The organization has also gained international recognition, securing special consultative status with ECOSOC and observer status with UNFCCC and UNCCD. Mr. Quader has represented his work in over 60 countries, advocating for community development and social justice. As President of the Rotary Club of Mohammadpur, Dhaka, he has upheld Rotary’s values, implementing governance, transparency, and accountability in numerous initiatives. Despite his vast achievements and international prominence, Mr. Quader remains a humble and approachable leader, inspiring those around him with his dedication and simplicity. His unwavering commitment to uplifting disadvantaged communities continues to leave a lasting impact both nationally and globally.
